Ingredients:
2 medium onions finely chopped
1 cup of fresh coriander finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
1 cup of besan
1 tsp each of chili powder, coriander powder and roasted cumin powder
½ tsp of My Garam Masala
2 tbsp of oil
juice of 1/2 lemon
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Heat oil in a non-stick kadhai. Add garlic and sauté for a min.
2. When garlic just starts turning brown, add onions and sauté well till onions start turning brown.
3. Now add fresh coriander, garam masala, chili powder, coriander powder and roasted cumin powder.
4. Mix well. Sprinkle a couple of tbsp of water and let it cook covered. Mix lemon juice.
5. Now add besan and salt and mix gently. Sauté for a min.
6. Sprinkle (not pour) 2-3 tbsp of water and cook covered on a low flame for 5 mins. Stir once.
7. If the mixture is too dry, again sprinkle water and cook further for 2-3 mins.
8. You can get the nice aroma and the raw taste of besan should go.
9. Serve this with bhakri or chapatti.
