Simla mirch besan

Ingredients:
3 simla mirch cut into 1 cm pieces
1.5 tbsp besan per simla mirch – so 4-5 tbsp for this recipe
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp turmeric, pinch of hing
chilli pdr (optional to taste)

Method:
1. Heat oil, add mustard seeds. When the crackle add hing and turmeric
2. Add cut simla mirch and saute on medium heat for a couple of mins.
3. Sprinkle 2-3 tbsp of water with hand and cook covered on simmer for 4-5 min
4. Add salt and chilli powder (optional), mix and cook covered for another 2-3 mins
5. Add besan and mix lightly so it covers the mirch well. sprinkle a tbsp of water and cook covered on low flame. Repeat after 2-3 min and cook again for 2 mins
6. Ready to serve with chapati.
