Ingredients
6 slices of day old bread
1 small onion finely chopped
1 green chili chopped (or red chili powder to taste)
5-6 curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
Pinch of hing
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp fresh grated coconut
2 tsp finely chopped coriander
½ lemon (to taste)
1 tbsp oil
Salt
Method
1. Blend the slices in mixer.
2. Heat oil. Add mustard seeds, hing, turmeric powder
3. Add chili and curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds
4. Add onion and sauté till light brown
5. Add bread and mix well. Keep stirring for a couple of minutes
6. Close and cook for 2 mins on low flame
7. Add salt, coriander, coconut and lemon juice and mix well
8. Cook for another 2 mins and serve hot
